<겹의 원리>

본 전시의 기조를, 한 번 지워진 흔적 위로 다시 쓰인 문장처럼, 표면 아래 잠재된 시간의 결이 살아 움직이는 감도를 일컫는 의미로 읽히는 '팔림프세스트'로 정하고자 합니다. 지워지거나 흐려지는 것이 필연이나, 여전히 발화하는 잔류의 세계, 이러한 중첩과 겹의 원리와 회화활동이 어떻게 화자와 감상자에게 드러나는지를 사유하고자 합니다.

화자는 단일한 순간의 기록이 아닌, 여러 겹의 망설임과 결정 사이 사유의 전이와 확장을 재료한 층위를 이루며 쌓은 개념을 전달하는 주체이겠습니다. 획과 색이 새로운 획과 색에 잠기고 드러나며 화자의 감도를 구축해내가는 팔림프세스트적 광경. 이러한 복합적인 시간성과 공존하는 감각의 장(場)을 목도하고자 합니다.

아르테위드는 이러한 층위를 '아카이브'라는 또 하나의 표면에 기록하며, 예술이 지닌 중첩의 구조를 관람자와 함께 확장해나가고자 합니다. 본 전시가 지워지고 다시 쓰이는 감각의 시간 속에서 새로운 독해의 가능성을 열어가길 바랍니다.

I would like to set the keynote of this exhibition as 'Palimpsest', which refers to the sensitivity of the latent texture of time below the surface to live, like a sentence rewritten on the erased trace once. It is inevitable to be erased or blurred, but I would like to think about the world of residual speech that still speaks, the principle of superposition and overlap, and how painting activities are revealed to speakers and viewers.

The speaker will not be a record of a single moment, but will be the subject who conveys the concept of the transition and expansion of thinking between hesitation and decision in layers. A palimpest scene in which strokes and colors are immersed in and revealed in new strokes and colors, and the sensitivity of the speaker is built. I would like to witness a field of senses that coexists with this complex temporality.

Arteweed records these layers on another surface called the archive and intends to expand the structure of art's superposition with the viewers. I hope this exhibition opens up new possibilities for reading in the time of senses that are erased and reused.
