<흔적>

흔적은 언제나 의도보다 오래 남는다. 지우려 했던 손의 방향과 달리, 표면에는 끝내 사라지지 않는 응어리가 남았다. 조형으로 상징된 흔적은 설명되지 않는다. 다만 정제되지 못한 밀도의 감정으로 남아, 보는 이의 내부를 미세하게 자극한다. 이 조형들은 무엇을 말하기보다, 무엇이 제거되었는지를 암시한다. 존재하던 것은 사라졌으나, 그 자리는 오히려 더 또렷해진다.

회화가 아직 완결되지 못한 상태라면, 행위 이후에 남는 것은 이미지가 아니라 선택의 흔적이겠다. 우리는 흔적을 감상하는가, 아니면 마주하는가. 그 흔적은 과거의 사건이 아니라, 지금도 작동하는 선택의 잔여물이다. 전시는 남아버린 것들을 통해, 우리가 스스로를 통제하려다 실패하는 순간을 호출한다. 그리고 묻는다. 우리는 무엇을 그리고, 무엇을 끝내 보게 되는가.

아르테위드는 이러한 기조를 '아카이브'라는 또 하나의 표면에 기록하며, 예술이 지닌 중첩의 구조를 관람자와 함께 확장해나가고자 합니다. 본 전시가 지워지고 다시 쓰이는 감각의 시간 속에서 새로운 독해의 가능성을 열어가길 바랍니다.

The Remaining always last longer than intended. Contrary to the direction of the hand that was trying to erase, the surface remained indelible clots. The traces symbolized by the sculpture are not explained. However, it remains with an unrefined density of emotion, finely stimulating the viewer's interior. Rather than saying anything, these sculptures imply what has been removed. What existed is gone, but the place becomes clearer.

If the painting is not yet complete, what remains after the action will not be the image, but the Remaining of choice. Do we appreciate the trace or do we face it? The Remaining is not an event of the past, but a remnant of a choice that still works today. Through what is left of the exhibition, we call the moment when we fail to control ourselves. And we ask. What do we draw and what do we end up seeing.

Artwith records this keynote on another surface called "archive" and intends to expand the overlapping structure of art with the viewers. I hope this exhibition opens up new possibilities for reading in the time of senses that are erased and reused.
