<시대 성격적 추상(抽象)>

페인팅의 추상성을 본 전시의 기조로 정하여 동시대 선상에 있는 작가들의 작업이 현대미술로서 어떤 추상 성질을 띄고 있는지에 대한 사유를 시도합니다.

추상이란, 사물의 사실적 재현 및 묘사가 아닌 점-선-면-색채에 의한 간접 묘사로 대상의 형태를 작업적 허용으로서 해체하거나 왜곡 함으로 작가만의 조형적 언어를 가능케 하는 구현을 뜻 합니다. 현대미술의 기조가 전반적 추상성을 띄는 근거를 기술발전에 의해 실제하는 사실 또는 사물의 해석적 다양성을 수용하는 범용성에 대해 사유 합니다.

추상성을 통해 표현되는 본질의 실체가 관람객과 조우하며 마치 각자 다르다고 여겼던 관계 사이에서 새로운 콘센서스를 발견함으로 추상과 예술의 개념적 확장을 도모 합니다.

아르테위드의 전시는 작가가 전하고자 하는 그들의 세계를 온라인 공간에 아카이빙하는 방법으로도 관람자에게 대화를 건냅니다. 시각과 마음을 들여 다 보신다면 좋겠습니다.

This exhibition takes the abstract nature of painting as its core theme, exploring how the works of contemporary artists embody abstract qualities in the realm of modern art.

Abstraction refers to an indirect depiction through points, lines, planes, and colors, rather than the realistic representation or description of objects. It involves dismantling or distorting the form of a subject as a creative allowance, enabling the artist to develop their unique visual language. The predominance of abstraction in modern art can be attributed to its adaptability in accommodating the interpretative diversity of realities or objects brought about by technological advancement.

The essence expressed through abstraction meets the viewer, fostering the discovery of new consensus amidst relationships once thought to be distinct. This process seeks to expand the conceptual boundaries of abstraction and art.

ArteWith’s exhibition also engages audiences by archiving the worlds envisioned by artists in the online space, inviting dialogue. We hope you will take a closer look with your eyes and heart.
